Los Altos residents and for that matter all Santa Clara Medicare Supplement members should take a look at both Blue Shield of California to who they are currently with.
The other Medicare Supplement company to include is Mutual of Omaha, they have recently lowered their rates and are now considered one of the “go-to” Medicare Supplement companies in Norther California, which includes Santa Clara County and of course Los Altos.
You can do some of your homework right here on this site. I post most of the competitive rates here. Or feel free to call and I can answer your questions.
Los Altos is going to have the same rates as Mt. View, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Saratoga and San Jose, so if you have family or friends in the area you can relay this info to them as well.
If you are not yet on Medicare, beware, you will be receiving a flood of information from just about every Medicare Supplement company under the sun. Marketing brochures, fliers, letters and post cards, every imaginable marketing material will be headed your way. Save yourself some time, I can narrow the shopping and comparing process down to a few minutes.
You are also going to need to find a Medicare Part D Rx plan to help pay for your prescription drugs. I can also help you with finding the right plan. Personally I do not represent any of the Part D companies, but I help my clients find the best plan every year. It’s good to check the new Part D plans every year, because they can change quite a bit from year to year.
You can see any doctor or hospital when you have a Medicare Supplement Policy. One of the greatest benefits of a Med Supp is “access to care.” You are able to receive services from any doctor, specialist, lab or hospital who accepts Medicare. That’s about 95% of all medical providers. You don’t have any networks to worry about and no need for HMO style referrals to specialists.
I’ve been in the Medicare business for more than 20 years and know the ins and outs of most of the situations involving Medicare members. I’m always available to chat, so please feel free to contact me anytime with your unique situation.
