Medicare Supplement Plans F and G in Chico

Medicare Supplement Plan F is the most comprehensive Medicare Supplement policy available on the market today.  With 2017 Medicare deductibles going up, it’s always a good time to look into Chico medicare supplement coverage for yourself, and there is no better way than with an Anthem, Blue Shield or Health Net Medicare Supplement Plan F.

Example Rates:

Your 2017 Medicare Part A deductible ($1,316 per every 60 day benefit period).  Your part B deductible ($183.00 per 2017 calendar year) is paid for.

Also with an Anthem Medicare Supplement plan F, your Part B coinsurance is paid for, which is 20% of your outpatient bill after the $183 deductible.  The Part B coinsurance includes all outpatient services such as Lab and X-Ray along with physician visits, outpatient surgery and physical therapy costs.

Medicare Supplement Rates:

Chico Area Hospitals:

Chico Medical Center, Enloe Medical Center, Cal Park, Feather River Hospital,

An interesting note;  Medicare premiums in the Chico area (Butte County) deductibles and copays adjust on an annual basis.  The amount of increase in premiums is coordinated with the cost-of-living adjustment determined by the Social Security administration.  So if Social Security does not make a cost-of-living adjustment, Medicare premiums cannot increase.

Each Medicare Supplement plan offers a different level of coverage, feel free to contact me anytime with questions: 916-682-1117.

As a member of a Medicare Supplement plan you can switch to a different company or plan anytime during the year (if you qualify medically), so if you are currently in good health you can switch companies at anytime during the year.

In California you can switch Medicare Supplement companies yearly starting on your birthday and up to 30 days later, regardless of your current health status.  California and Oregon are the only two states that offer the “Birthday Rule.”

So, if a different company offers your current plan at a lower rate, you can request to change now, or wait until your birth month and switch then.  It’s that easy.

A few things to remember:

  1. At Home Recovery Benefit – Medicare pays 100% of all approved amounts with the exception of durable medical equipment, in which case Medicare Pays 80%.
  2. Skilled Nursing Facility Benefit – Medicare can cut off Skilled Nursing benefits if the patient is not showing daily improvement.  This is not meant to be a long term benefit.
  3. At Home Recovery – Medicare pays $40 per day for up to 40 days or a total of $1,600 benefit per year.

Enrollment is easy ..  Simply call or email and I will send the appropriate enrollment forms.
