Popular Medicare Plans in Los Angeles …
Are you new to Medicare … If so, I’m sure you have a three foot high stack of company brochures, marketing fliers and advertisements from every Medicare company in Los Angeles. Some pieces are pretty good and some are misleading.
Call me, I’ll save you a lot of time in choosing which direction to go in. Who has the best rates, which company is the easiest to deal with, who to stay clear from and I’ll also help with your Medicare Part D
A couple things to be aware of …
First … if you live in Los Angeles, so you can take advantage of the “Birthday-Rule” each year on the month of your birthday, if you are enrolled in a Medicare Supplement plan.
The Birthday-Rule allows you to change your company every year guaranteed, regardless of current or previous health issues. It’s a great rule!! So don’t feel like you will be trapped into a Medicare Supplement plan or company long term.
Second … look at the premiums for the Los Angeles area. You don’t want to be paying more than you should. With a Medicare Supplement, you won’t know the difference when you go to a doctor or hospital whether you have an Anthem card in your card, a Mutual of Omaha card, or any other company card.
But do talk to your friends or family what their experiences are when trying to contact a company regarding service like billing, questions regarding a claim or any other customer services related issue. Some companies are easy to work with, others not so easy.
Financial rating … of a company doesn’t have the level of importance today as it did in the past. Remember Executive Life in the early ninety’s, or how about AIG which in 2008 had a A+ Superior rating right before the state stepped in for their bailout. If a company becomes insolvent, you have a “guaranteed-transfer” option to move to a company of your choice.
Open Enrollment … The “Annual Open Enrollment” season is; October 15 thru December 7th of each year. If you are a current Medicare Advantage member or are looking into enrolling, be sure to compare the different plans available in your county. Each year the current plans change a little and new plans are introduced. If you need a little help sorting through the different plan outlines, please feel free to call anytime, I’ll be happy to help.
Enrolling is Easy … Call today, I’ll help explain which plan will be best for your situation. Call for an Application, I can email or Mail the appropriate forms to you.
