Part D Prescription Drug Coverage … Medicare part D Prescription drug coverage is available to everyone who has Medicare Parts A and B.  There are typically 20-25 Part D prescription plans in most counties.  The premium range most will see are between $15 to $45 per month.

Premiums will vary depending on the County you live in and some plans will include an annual prescription deductible of $0 to $400, although many plans do not have this annual deductible.  Also, you can choose a plan from a different company than the one providing your Medicare Supplement.

If you have a Medicare Supplement plan, you will need to choose a stand-alone Part D plan, because prescription plans are not included with Medicare Supplement plans.  If you have a Medicare Advantage plan like the Anthem Medicare Preferred PPO plan, the Part D Rx coverage is included for no extra cost.  Feel free to call or email anytime with your questions.
