Anthem Medicare Supplement Plan F
The Anthem Medicare Supplement Plan F is the most comprehensive Medicare Supplement policy available on the market today. With 2012 Medicare deductibles going up, now is the time to look into additional Medicare coverage for yourself, and there is no better way than with an Anthem Medicare Supplement Plan F.
Your 2012 Medicare Part A deductible ($1,156 per every 60 day benefit period). Your part B deductible ($140.00 per 2012 calendar year) is paid for. Also with an Anthem Medicare Supplement plan F, your Part B coinsurance is paid for, which is 20% of your outpatient bill after the $140 deductible. The Part B coinsurance includes all outpatient services such as Lab and X-Ray along with physician visits, outpatient surgery and physical therapy costs.
Medicare Supplement Rates:
An interesting note; Medicare premiums, deductibles and copays adjust on an annual basis. The amount of increase in premiums is coordinated with the cost-of-living adjustment determined by the Social Security administration. So if Social Security does not make a cost-of-living adjustment, Medicare premiums cannot increase.
Anthem Medicare Supplement Plans:

As you can see from the chart above, each Anthem Medicare Supplement plan offers a different level of coverage, feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or comments: 800-700-1246.
As a member of an Anthem Medicare Supplement plan you can switch to a different company or plan (of equal or less benefits) anytime during the year (if you qualify medically), so if you are currently in good health you can switch companies at anytime during the year. Also in California you are able to switch Medicare Supplement companies yearly the month of your birth date regardless of your current health condition. So, if a different company offers your current plan at a lower rate, you can request to change now, or wait until your birth month and switch then. It’s that easy.
A few things to remember:
- At Home Recovery Benefit – Medicare pays 100% of all approved amounts with the exception of durable medical equipment, in which case Medicare Pays 80%.
- Skilled Nursing Facility Benefit – Medicare can cut off Skilled Nursing benefits if the patient is not showing daily improvement. This is not meant to be a long term benefit.
- At Home Recovery – Medicare pays $40 per day for up to 40 days or a total of $1,600 benefit per year.
